    Mirror

Mirror is a Clash Royale epic rarity card that can be obtained from the Spooky Town arena (Arena 12).

    Strategy

    • The Mirror allows the player to repeat a card, like the Barrel of Goblins, leaving the opponent without the proper elixir or cards to counter it.
    • It is effective to mirror a card for which the opponent only has one counter card. For example, if the opponent always counters a Barrel of Goblins with The Log, the player can reflect his Barrel of Goblins and his opponent will not have The Log to counter it, unless he / she also has a Mirror. Otherwise, a tournament standard Mirrored Goblin Barrel will do massive damage as Crown Towers need three hits to defeat over-level Goblins.
    • Elixir Collectors can be doubled to increase the player's elixir production, allowing them to deploy cards faster, although it will only give a total gain of 3 elixirs.
    • Mirrored cards are especially effective against spells, as leveling up can change some key interactions with troops. For example, a reflected Sparkle will not die to a Rocket, as it will be a higher level and will have more hit points. A Reflected Rocket will deal a higher percentage of tower damage compared to the tournament standard.
    • The Mirror is a high risk, high reward card. If played correctly with powerful cards like Giant Skeleton or PEKKA, the resulting attack can have a devastating effect. This strategy is especially effective during the double elixir period, allowing the player to more easily mirror previous cards and support them.
    • If the player accidentally plays a card too early or at the wrong time, they can use the Mirror to play that same card again, but at the cost of 1 additional elixir.
    • The Mirror can be used as a surprise card. The opponent can use multiple cards to defend against a single unit. If the player reflects that card, the opponent will not have those cards in hand to defend against the second unit, possibly forcing them to take damage to the Tower of Crowns or spend too much on defense.
    • The Mirror can produce cards in levels that would not otherwise be available, such as level 14 cards, when it is at maximum level. In addition, it allows the use of cards above the tournament level, such as level 10 cards, when playing at the tournament level. This one-level difference can change many interactions between cards, assuming they are on the same level. For example, a reflected Fireball will be able to defeat Musketeer, Mage, Ice Mage, and Electric Mage completely.
    • Before placing Mirror in a deck, players should consider which cards they will want to reflect. If they intend to use mirrored antitanks like the Mini PEKKA, they may be able to add a different antitank, like the Executioner or even Sparks, which can have the same wow factor that the Mirror could possibly have, possibly at a more cost efficient. The most successful Mirror decks have cards with a single purpose, such as Furnace or Miner.
    • The Mirror can be used in conjunction with Clone to make a big attack and overwhelm an opponent (with a high damage troop or many low health troops) if they cannot defend against it.

    Counterstrategy

    • This tactic is not recommended with low health troops, as splash damage can knock those troops down with ease unless the opponent does not have it.
    • There are a few ways to counter the Mirror. The opponent may have a single card that counters both cards, such as an area damage troop, or he may have multiple cards that can counter one after the other, such as two spells. The opponent will also be able to counter a reflected card more easily for an elixir perk.
    • Due to the new visual and sound effect of the Mirror, it is not advisable to play a Mirrored Goblin Barrel towards the back of the Tower of Crowns, as the landing position is no longer ambiguous; the same applies to the Miner.
    • It is easy to tell that an opposing player has the Mirror, since it is the only way to unfold a card twice in a row or have two of the same cards at different levels on the field. Another way to find out is by the new visual and sound effect when using the Mirror. However, Spear Goblins from Goblin Hut, Goblin Gang, and their own card can all have different levels in the same game. The same goes for Fire Spirits (from your letter and from the Furnace), Skeletons (from your letter, Tombstone, Skeleton Army, Witch, Graveyard, and Skeleton Barrel), Barbarians (from your letter, Barbarian Hut, Battering Ram) Battle and Barbarian Barrel), Goblins (from his card, Goblin Barrel and Goblin Gang), Minions (from his card and from the Minion Horde), Musketeers (from his card and from the Trio of Musketeers), Bats (from her letter and the Night Witch) and Royal Recruits (from her letter and the Royal Package). In 2v2, it is also possible for two players on the same team to use the same card of different levels.
    • In competitive, certain interactions change compared to the tournament standard if both players are at the highest level, where Mirror produces level 14 cards. Note the following interactions to find out which cards are more or less favorable for Mirror: A Bandit , Night Witch, Miner, Royal Ghost, Giant Skeleton, Lava Hound, or a Mega Knight will die a tower shot faster on the max scale than the tournament standard. In the case of the Miner, this causes him to deal one less hit to the tower in maximum competitive in a 1v1 situation. A Reflected Magic Archer will not be able to defeat Reflected Spear Goblins. A reflected Poison will deal a lower percentage of tower damage compared to the tournament standard.
    • The opponent will gain a greater elixir advantage if the reflected card is easily countered.
    • There are cards that are not suitable in Mirror: Minions, since the player can use the Horde of Minions to obtain the same number of Minions for two less elixir. Skeletons, as the player can use the Skeleton Army to obtain nine more skeletons for the same elixir cost. Goblins, since the player can use Goblin Gang for two less elixir, to get two Spear Goblins as well; however, the Gang offers 1 less troop, and overlevel Goblins need three hits to be defeated by a Tower of Crowns, so this can potentially be done as a pressure / punishment play.

    • It is the only spell that does not have a direct effect on deployed troops and does not have an area effect if a spell is not duplicated.
    • When calculating the average Elixir cost in a deck, the Mirror is calculated as a 1.5 Elixir card. Before the May 2016 update, the Mirror was simply ignored when calculating the average cost as if the deck only had 7 cards.
    • It is one of the two cards that does not appear in your first hand. The other card is the Elixir Collector.
    • When the card is enhanced, it appears in its original image.
    • It is the only card that cannot be reflected.
