Namine She is Kairi's Nobody, she has the power to manipulate the memories of Sora and those who have any relationship or connection with him. He made his first appearance in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories.

Appearance

She is a girl with fair skin, thin, blonde hair, blue eyes and medium height. She has a lot like Kairi, although a curious difference between the two is that Naminé is much smaller in body, as can be seen in the end of Kingdom Hearts II, where her shoulders and face are smaller, compared to Kairi.

Naminé wears a white strapless dress and wears blue sandals with yellow trim.

His hair is somewhat disheveled and reveals one of his ears, while one part of the hair is thrown back while the other leans forward on his shoulder.

In Chain of Memories, she is smaller, being "based" on Kairi's appearance in Kingdom Hearts. In Kingdom Hearts II, Naminé grows and takes resemblance to the appearance of Kairi in the aforementioned video game.

Personality

Naminé was born without memories and without the knowledge of what she had emotions, due to the unusual nature of her birth. Because of this, she had no basis to act upon her birth. She simply followed the orders of those close to her because she was the only guide she had, which made her very calm, fragile, peaceful, forgiving y generous in his personality. This led her to discover her ability to feel, as she many times found that blindly following her captors hurt others, something that made Naminé feel responsible and guilty.

She often rebelled against her captors because of this guilt for trying to redeem herself by helping someone, which sometimes led her to be extremely trusting, faithful, and generous. Rebelling and constantly switching sides made Naminé's determination and courage grow significantly from her first appearance. She is also apparently very talented with her drawings, as seen when she finished a complex drawing of Castle Oblivion in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories.

Like Roxas, Naminé seems to possess true emotions, being a special and unusual Nobody. While most Nobodies pretend to have emotions acting on their past life memories to react to a specific situation, Roxas and Naminé had no memories of their past lives and therefore had no basis for action.

Examples of Naminé's emotional capacity are the following:

She felt lonely, which ultimately led her to lure Sora to Castle Oblivion.
He feared for Sora's life when he was about to be killed by Riku's replica, even going so far as to completely destroy the replica's false memories.
He voluntarily came between Sora and Larxene to prevent him from killing Sora.
She showed true remorse and guilt for what she had done to Sora, Donald, and Goofy.
She laughed in amusement at Donald and Goofy's teasing comments and jokes about how Sora always acts around girls.
She was shocked and scared to death when Marluxia used her as a shield against Axel.
He steadfastly refused to destroy Sora's heart, even when Marluxia threatened to kill her.
It hurt a bit that Sora will forget her to go back to normal.
She readily accepted that Sora chose to regain her memories and despite being hurt, she respected her wishes.
He started crying after putting Sora under a dream in his memory capsule.
She was willing to go against DiZ's orders to help Roxas.
He smiled happily at Roxas, through Kairi, when Sora returned to the islands with Riku in the FMV finale of Kingdom Hearts II.

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories

A young witch who, under Marluxia's orders, erased Sora's memories. Since Naminé based his changes on Sora's feelings for Kairi, he believed that he and Naminé were friends. But the truth saw the light, they had never seen each other before their meeting in the Castle of Oblivion.

Reverse/Rebirth

Young witch who can manipulate memories. Under the orders of the Organization, Naminé altered Sora's memories by erasing Kairi from them. But the kindness of Sora's heart moved her to disobey orders. Now watch over Sora as he mends his memory.

Kingdom Hearts II

A girl with the power to manipulate memories. He seems to have a very strong connection with Sora.

Etymology

Its name comes from the Japanese word "nami" which means "wave" and "ne" which complements the phrase in Japanese and means "marine" or with respect to the sea; All of this forms the word "ocean wave", which is very curious since "Kairi" means "sea".

Curiosities

Naminé is one of the few characters to not have an outfit change throughout the series.
Naminé is one of the few female characters to have considerably long hair, another character to share this trait is Olette.
