Player receiving card from Carturo with a DLC (Mayan Fire Queen)

We mean get Nintendo Events or DLCs, when we obtain them thanks to Nintendo, that is, to objects that Nintendo has launched on the Internet and that can be received by certain continents. Nintendo launches for various reasons, such as parties, certain occasions, or just as promotions. Some coincide with internal game events, such as the Conga Clock.

En Animal Crossing: City Folk/Let's Go To The City se recibe con WiiConnect24 y en Animal Crossing: New Leaf por SpotPass.

    Summary

    Obtaining DLC

In order to receive these objects that Nintendo distributes, it is necessary to have the WiiConnect24 function activated, which can only be activated by fulfilling two requirements: Having this function activated in the Wii options (in the main menu at the bottom right), and having it activated in the game. If you want to have it activated in the game, you have to have gone to the city at least once, because the first time you leave, we will go with Fran / Rover (a blue cat) on the bus commenting on this, and then talking to him by the phone in the attic of your house to activate it already definitively. It can also be deactivated over the phone. In the link below it puts how the steps are.

You can find out when these gifts will be distributed by looking at the official Animal Crossing: City Folk / Let's Go To The City website (puts it on this page). You will receive it via Carturo, a pelican, postman from Animal Crossing, who as soon as you leave your house you will find him saying "Nintendo letter!", And he will give you a letter signed by Tortimer with the object as a gift. Or if what is distributed is a design, who you meet is Da Morsi (since Da Morsi is a designer) who tells you more or less the same thing, but with designs and not letters. If an object and a design are distributed at the same time, Da Morsi will be the first to appear, and even if you do not accept, the next time you turn on the game Carturo will appear.

You can only get objects from other continents or other dates from the catalog of someone from that other continent, since changing the location of the Wii will not help, and the same happens with the date: delaying it to get something from last month does not work either. Carturo will arrive the next time the player loads the game, even if the player does not pick up Da Morsi's skin.
