Orichalcum, also translated as Oricalco In Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, it is a type of material available in Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts II, and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. Orichalcum materials contain the rarest of metals. In Kingdom Hearts II, the Orichalcum receives an upgrade called Orichalcum+, being a new Orichal material (オリハル, Oriharu) that takes the name of Orichalcum.

Two variations of the Orichalcum were introduced in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, the Materialized Illusion (The illusion that appeared Arawareta Genei?) Y la Stray Illusion (失われた幻影 Ushinawareta Genei?), Which are only obtained from Latent Consciousness and Organization XIII Data, respectively.

Design

The basic Orichalcum is represented by an aqua-colored jewel in the shape of a star. Its upper half is lined by five triangular peaks that alternate from largest to smallest. Its lower half has two sloping spikes on each side and a diamond-shaped point at its bottom. The center of the jewel is adorned with white sparkles.

The Orichalcum + is represented by a large aqua colored jewel. The design could be said to be as if a snowflake were cast on top of a basic Orichalcum design. Its upper half is lined by five triangular peaks that alternate from largest to smallest. The two smaller peaks bifurcate into three points at their sides, the five peaks being connected by four thin bars. Its lower half has four sloping spikes, two on each side of the jewel. A large, diamond-shaped spike is located at its bottom. The center of the jewel is adorned with white sparkles.

The Materialized Illusion is represented by a blue and cyan colored jewel. This gem resembles two diamonds with the concave edges stacked on top of each other. The lower diamond is slightly larger and has two spikes protruding from its two upper sides. Two large wings are connected to the lateral corners of the lower diamond. These two additives are three angular "feathers".
