Pete He is an old acquaintance of Donald and Goofy, banished to another dimension by Queen Minnie, due to the problems he caused. Maleficent helped him escape his exile, and in return, Pete gathered an army of Heartless for the witch, hoping that one day he and Maleficent would dominate all the worlds.

In Kingdom Hearts II, Pete travels the worlds at the same time as Sora and his friends, thus facing off against them, using his Heartless. You have to fight him, twice in the Underworld and once in Eternal River, not counting the time when you have to face the old Pete, also in Eternal River. Even though he and Maleficent assembled an army of Heartless, Pete tells him that they would never win, which is ironic since they had collected over 1000 Heartless, this is because Pete knew that Sora had improved considerably from the first one. time she faced Maleficent, while Maleficent did not take her progress into account.

Captain Justice

It's really about Pete, the biggest troublemaker in town, disguised as a superhero. With the sole objective of winning the Million Dreams Trophy, he pretends to be a champion of civility and good manners to win the vote of the citizens. However, it is clear that Captain Justice only has the name and more than a hero is, as always, a nuisance.

With the sole objective of winning the Million Dreams Trophy, he pretends to be a kind of dark hero to win the vote of the citizens. However, it seems that the only thing that lives up to its name is "dark", because more than helping, it is dedicated to annoying.

History

Eternal River

Many years before Disney Castle was built, Pete was just a grumpy fellow who was proud of his steamboat that he was working on with Mickey. When Sora, Donald and Goofy are in their time they mistake him for the Pete of the present and this leads to a confrontation with him. Then he tells them that someone has stolen his steamboat and they promise to get it back. Then he discovers that the current Pete was the one who stole his steamboat to escape with the Cornerstone so that Disney Castle is unprotected from the clutches of Maleficent. But Sora, Donald and Goofy avoid that and recover the steamboat and the Cornerstone and Pete tries to escape but the Pete of that time stops him and Sora and others stop the current Pete and he escapes through the other door for that time and Sora seals it. And the Pete of this time thanks Sora and company for the help and he and Mickey give them a ride on the steamboat.

Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep

Many years later Pete lives in Disney City. At that time the dream festival was being celebrated, and part of this festival there is a contest in which people vote for the most admirable citizen and receive the Million Dreams Trophy. After learning about this Pete to know that nobody would vote for him decided to adopt an alter ego like Captain Justice to act as a hero and to vote for him. The moment Ventus arrives at Disney City he is received by him and tries to convince him to vote for him but he does not know what he is talking about and then they hear a noise from Juanito, Jaimito and Jorgito and they say no The ice cream machine works for them and they want to offer Queen Minnie an ice cream and Pete goes straight to help them but does not get it and tries to make it work by hitting her but Juanito, Jaimito and Jorgito stop him. Then Ven wants to try and he gets the machine to work making Pete furious and tries to break the machine but Minnie stops him before he does and Pete leaves.

When Terra arrives in the city, he finds a group of Nescientes participating in the circuit so he decides to intervene and jumps towards the circuit with a clear intention of destroying them, but at that moment he is almost run over by Pete, who had taken the altercation of " Dark Captain ". After being reprimanded by Minnie Mouse for breaking the rules, Terra agrees to participate using her own vehicle. By defeating the needy in a fair race and Pete himself, the warrior learns that it is not always necessary to break the rules and Pete leaves in a huff about losing the race.

Finally Aqua arrives in the city, and meets Pete dressed as the "Dark Captain", who by causing trouble is confronted by the teacher. After a brief battle, Aqua manages to defeat him, leaving Pete furious, while Minnie appears to explain to him (like her companions) what the dream festival is about.

Completing all three stories and returning will play an additional scene in which Ventus, Terra, and Aqua win the trophy for having favorably helped the community. However, Pete arrogantly refuses to lose and tries to receive the trophy with his alter egos to no avail. Minnie explains to Pete that he must be happy since several citizens had voted for him, but he is furious declaring that he does not care about "a few miserable votes" and only wants the trophy. Minnie, notably offended by such arrogance, calls the guards and banishes the troublesome subject declaring that this was the worst misdeed done by him.

One scene shows Pete in what appears to be space all alone, as Maleficent begins to complain, she offers him the conquest of the worlds in exchange for joining her in a campaign, with no alternatives Pete reluctantly accepts and enters a dark portal that materializes in front of him.

Personality

Pete is very mean, selfish and, as shown in the battle of 1000 Heartless, a coward. He is usually afraid of someone who is powerful (as shown in the coliseum when he wanted to go out). He is willing to follow the orders of villains (ie Maleficent), but not heroes (ie King Mickey). Sometimes it comes down to playing tough and you will never admit that you are weak. He has the tendency to insult others and it extends from the battles that he loses. Although Pete seems incompetent, his heart has been strangely strong enough to withstand the dark.

Appearance

Pete is a portly black haired cat, anthropomorphized (often mistaken for a dog). Like King Mickey, he wears a heavily modified version of his usual outfit in modern cartoons, in Pete's case, suspenders and a shirt. He wears what appears to be colored armor in shades of blue and purple overtop a red, short-sleeved shirt with a vertical stripe of pink descending from the neck. He wears navy blue and white sneakers with light blue fronts and two periwinkle straps keeping each one secure. His pants are also navy blue, with light blue lining, purple lower legs, and two huge pockets on either front side. These bags are attached to the pants by four bolts, both sporty and silver, horizontal zipper. The most distinctive feature of these pants is the comically large zipper that goes up the front and reaching around the back of the pants.

He wears two navy blue shoulder pads, each with two cyan bangs and a vinca fence area at the bottom on each shoulder. An amulet in the shape of a cat. Two gold buttons at the top of Pete's pants connect to two blue straps that cross across his chest before connecting to two similar, albeit smaller buttons on his shoulder pads. Pete also wears a pair of fingerless gloves. The wrists of these gloves are blue with a pale yellow semicircle on top, while the gloves are periwinkle with a bump on each knuckle. There is a dark blue and green design on the back of each glove, descending from each knuckle to the end of the glove.
