PUBG creators angered by Fortnite's Battle Royale

Last week we told you that Fortnite will add a Battle Royale mode for 100 players in the purest style PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds And now, the creators of this second game have shown their anger at this move. They have done so through an official statement issued by Chang Han Kim, vice president of Bluehole, of which the GameIndustry portal has echoed and we bring you the most important extracts of it.

"We have maintained a constant relationship with epic Games throughout the development of PUBG, since they are the creators of Unreal Engine 4, the engine that we have used in the game, "explained the vice president of the studio that created Player Unknown's Battlegrounds." After listening to the growing feedback from our community and reviewing the game ourselves, we worry that Fortnite may be copying the experience PUBG is known for. "

"We've also seen Epic Games refer to PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds in promoting Fortnite for both his community and the press. This was never discussed with us and we do not feel it is correct. We don't mind other companies wanting to break into this market, but we hope they add their own ideas and don't just make a copy of our game. "

Furthermore, the creators of PUBG commented that they are willing to take legal action against Epic Games if necessary as they consider that the Fortnite Battle Royale mod is a copy of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and they are using their image to promote their game. It will be necessary to see if epic Games rectify in the way of advertising the new Fortnite game mode or if the problem is getting bigger. Meanwhile, we leave you with our guía de PlayerUnknown's Battleground and our Fortnite analysis.
