Red Planet (in Spanish Red Planet) is the fifth episode of Angry Birds Space. It was released on the morning of August 23, 2012.

History

In the trailer, after traveling a long distance, the Mars Rover Curiosity still hasn't found anything, but the space pigs and their fortress are being destroyed. The robot then detects the Ice Bird and then ends the transmission. The Rover then relays the transmission of the Red Planet update message coming this fall. '

In the opening scene of Red Planet, the episode begins when the Angry Birds find the landing of the Curiosity Rover. The space pigs also saw it and thought it might be useful for stealing eggs, so they kidnapped it, causing the birds to chase them.

Features

The episode takes place on a red planet very similar to Mars. This one has a reddish atmosphere (unlike the previous episodes), and sometimes, the additional surfaces of the levels have craters of lava that can be seen in the levels as well. Crystal Shards score 3000 points when destroyed, like most shiny objects. The background of the levels is a yellow background with stars, and some orange dust nebulae, and an unknown planet in the distance. The background music of the Red Planet has sounds of boiling magma.

It also incorporates another object; Burning meteorites that are similar to frozen meteorites and popcorn kernels from previous episodes, as when exploding, they split into 3 rocks, destroying most obstacles just as easily. There are also small steaming volcanoes with water vapor, known as steam geysers, that cause birds, pigs, and objects to float away.

Chief

The boss of the episode is the Curiosity Rover, the famous NASA astromobile, which has been manipulated by the pigs, who control it to try to steal the eggs.

Eggsteroids

In this episode, the Eggsteroids are replaced by real space vehicles.
