    Rocket League celebrates a crossover with Fortnite, at the same time as it goes free to play

      Starting tomorrow Wednesday, September 23, Rocket League pasará a ser free to play. One of the most popular online games of recent years will go to the free model, and to celebrate it, a new crossover event will begin with another of the star multiplayer games: Fortnite.

      Between September 26 and October 12, Rocket League players will be able to participate in Llama-Rama, a series of challenges with which to unlock cosmetic aesthetic elements. The ultimate goal is unlock the iconic bus, with which we can play this football on wheels.



      And the event will be played on two bands: in Fortnite we can also unlock elements of Rocket League, such as a spray, music, a backpack and an emoticon.

      The decision to put the two games together should come as no surprise: they both share a very lighthearted graphic style, and Fortnite is one of the biggest free-to-play hits ever. Besides, of course, Epic Games owns Psyonix, the studio behind Rocket League.

      Rocket League will become free on all platforms: PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. But in the latter, it can only be played for free from the Epic Games Store. In Steam it will disappear from the store, although if you already had it purchased, you can continue playing it.
