Scar He's Simba's evil uncle. Scar was always jealous of his older brother, Mufasa, and killed him in order to become the King of the Pride Lands.

History

Kingdom Hearts II

Kingdom Hearts II hosts the story during Scar's rule in the Pride Lands. Scar's party teams up with Pete to rule the lands with discipline. Scar is the King of the Pride Lands, and when he first meets Sora, Donald, and Goofy at Pride Rock, he tries to eat them, as there are few prey in the Pride Lands, but is stopped by Nala. The trio managed to escape and convince Simba to return to Pride Rock. When this happens, overconfident Scar reveals the truth about Mufasa's death, enraging Simba and prompting him to hunt down his murderous uncle. While Sora, Donald, Goofy, Timon, and Pumbaa keep the hyenas at bay, Simba fights Scar atop Pride Rock. Sora and company arrive in time to see Simba throw his uncle off the cliff, but Pete arrives and tells them that because of the anger and jealousy within his heart, Scar has become a Heartless. A battle breaks out against Scar's Heartless, where Simba and Sora are victorious.

On the second visit, the Ghost of Scar appears, appearing thanks to Simba's doubts about his heart.

Personality

Scar is depicted as a cold, cruel, brutal, and ruthless tyrant, whose sole goal is to be the ruler of the Pride Lands. The lives of his subjects, and even those of his relatives, mean nothing to him. To do this, he is willing to kill anyone who stands in his way. This is seen when Mufasa is murdered in cold blood. He is also shown to be arrogant and conceited, as seen when he foolishly admits to killing Mufasa, a trait that turns out to be his downfall.

Appearance

Scar is an adult lion with brown fur and a fine, silky, charcoal-black mane. The skin on the belly, on the underside of its legs and around the mouth is a light brown. Compared to his nephew and older brother, Scar is very skinny and fragile. There are short strands of black hair at the back of its elbows, as well as at the tip of its tail; it has sharp, dark brown claws. Scar's name refers to the scar on his left eye, which is called "Scar" in English. His eyes are green, the iris and the rest yellow. He has ten black whiskers, five on each side of his upper lip. It also has a knob on the chin.

Scar first appeared in the 1994 film The Lion King. As in Kingdom Hearts II, Scar is Simba's evil uncle, the king of the Pride Lands after Mufasa's death. When Simba returns to the Pride Lands, and admits that he is responsible for Mufasa's death, Scar tries to kill him by causing him to fall down Pride Rock. Before he can do so, Scar tells him that he is the real one responsible for Mufasa's death. Simba goes back upstairs and forces his uncle to confess that he killed Mufasa. After that, Scar and Simba start fighting. As in the game, Simba throws Scar off the cliff, surviving the fall, but the hyenas kill him as he had betrayed them moments before.
