Double Movement Binds
This is a new way of dealing with the movement of the character in the game. It would be betting on the diagonal when moving and also to build structures, which gives us greater visibility and also efficiency. Thanks to this new movement, which you can include on your keyboard, we can, for example, move diagonally with the character and with practically the same button press, put structures on the different axes. If you have a keyboard, you can go to the keyboard controls option within Settings and locate the motion section. This is what I should tweak:
Directx 12
Thanks to Direct X 12 it is possible to improve the performance of playable experiences. This is also ideal to offer greater performance when the graphic load is greater, so we will not suffer if we are in the moment of great fights in Fortnite. To activate it go to settings, to the first video tab, and at the bottom you will find the version of DirectX that your computer is using and you can change it to 12 if you have it installed.
Mouse wheel to restart in edit
We can also include a shortcut to the mouse wheel. The idea is that with a small touch of the mouse wheel, we can reset the structures to gain a very important thousandths of a second during construction. To do this, go to settings, to the keyboard control section, go down to the construction section, and we simply look for the “construction edit” and “construction edit reset” options and include the desired shortcut.
Auto sprint
It is not a new option, but one that you must establish. If you have a keyboard you can include a button to use the race automatically, or if you are playing on the console you can go directly to the game settings and have the auto sprint activated. With the beginning of this chapter 2, the setting that you may have already activated last season has been reset.
Ammo indicator on the reticle
This has been included, and we will see that if we zoom when shooting. Next to the reticle a small oval line will appear that tells us how much ammunition we have left before we reload. It is especially useful, but some players are distracting and you can deactivate it as easy as going to settings, to play, and there you select HUD, and you can simply deactivate it at the bottom.
Graphic quality
You go to the first tab within settings (you will only have it enabled on PC), and in graphic quality you can select it in "automatic" or make a series of manual changes. If it is automatic, the game for you will measure the graphic quality that it can offer you according to your computer.
We advise that you leave it on automatic or if you want to have it manual, do not forget to deactivate certain aspects such as shadows.
Interface contrast
You have this in the video section within Settings. In the graphics section, in the second option you have the “user interface contrast”. By default it is 1X but you can vary it according to the type of monitor you are using. This is especially useful for you to add the desired contrast in the menus that will appear not only when you are outside the games but also within them.
