    Skeletons

Skeletons is a common rarity card in Clash Royale that can be obtained from the Pit of Bones arena (Arena 2).

    Details

    • It can be obtained from chests after reaching Arena 2.
    • Deploy three close combat skeletons with very low hit points and very low damage.
    • 1 unit of elixir is required to set up this card.
    • They are the same Skeletons that appear along with the Witch, the Tombstone, the Skeleton Barrel, the Skeleton Army, and the Graveyard.

    Strategy

    • Skeletons are most effective when used to distract and / or surround low attack speed troops and / or single target units such as Giants or Princes.
      • Although they are excellent at countering single-target troops, players usually support these troops with an area-of-damage troop or a spell like Valkyrie or Bolt, so be careful.
      • Still, the Skeletons will be unable to take out most troops on their own, unless enemy troops are already distracted or have low health.
      • Skeletons can be used to eliminate a single Princess. If they are deployed right after the Princess shoots, the Skeletons will quickly take her out. Be careful, if they are deployed at the wrong time, the Princess will take out the Skeletons with one shot.
      • Skeletons can be used to distract Sparkle, but be careful, as she is almost always supported by cards that deal area damage and she deals area damage as well. This can be prevented by deploying the Skeletons on top of her to surround her.
      • They can be used to distract enemy troops while another card is deployed or the Tower of Crowns eliminates them.
    • For just 1 Elixir, the Skeletons card can cycle through the player's deck quickly and boost the player's offense.
    • Skeletons can lean on other cards like Knight or Mini PEKKA to easily counter Elite Barbarians. Use the Skeletons to lure the Elite Barbarians to the center and then deploy the Knight or Mini PEKKA to finish them off. This can continue in a counterattack.
    • They can help to cycle the player's deck to get to a certain card faster, since they have a very cheap cost of only 1 Elixir. This can be used to create powerful offensives like two Giants or two Witches.
    • They are very similar to Goblins, but Goblins have slightly more powerful stats in all respects for 1 extra Elixir.

    Counterstrategy

    • Skeletons are easily eliminated by an enemy troop, structure, or Tower of Crowns, especially cards with area damage, so it is recommended only to use them to defend or distract enemy troops. However, they can serve as a small boost to an offense if they are well protected and stay away from area damage.

    Curiosities

    • They are one of the 13 cards related to skeletons. The other cards are: the Skeleton Army the Bomber, the Witch, the Tombstone, the Graveyard, the Bomber Tower, the Giant Skeleton, the Bombastic Balloon, the Skeleton Barrel, the Guards, Skeleton Dragons and the Wall Breakers.
    • Skeletons, Ice Spirit, Healing Spirit, and Electric Spirit are the only cards that cost 1 unit of Elixir, being the cheapest cards in the game.
    • The Skeletons along with the Bats are the weakest units in Clash Royale, with only 98 points of life and damage per hit at level 13, and 32 points of life and damage per hit at level 1. However, unlike the Bats , they only cost 1 Elixir.
    • They are the only unit alongside Goblins (melee and spear) and Barbarians that can be deployed by a troop, spell, and structure card.
    • It is one of the three cards that (without any effect on statistics or training) can attack the Tower of Crowns, not counting the defensive structures are: Tombstone and Bats.
