El surgeon fish (Surgeonfish in English) is a reef (marine) fish that first appeared in Animal Crossing: City Folk / Let's Go To The City. It is certainly very easy to differentiate it from other fish by its bright blue color. It lives near the reefs and if it hides quickly if it gets scared. It is obtainable in spring and summer and sells for 1.000 berries.
This fish, in real life, is known from the movie Finding Nemo, in which a surgeonfish accompanies a clownfish in search of its son, captured by a diver.

Fishing
It is not very common, it looks for in the sea something the size of a carp or a horse mackerel. Remember not to lower your guard: its small size does not prevent it from acting quickly, although it is not as complicated as a Japanese Gilthead either.

City Folk/Let's Go to the City
Surgeonfish usually live around coral reefs, uuhu. These fish are usually bright blue, with yellow tails, and inhabit tropical areas. The expression on his face is always very calm. It is enough for me to observe it to relax! - Socrates.
New Leaf
Blue with black stripes and triangular-shaped yellow tails, these tropical fish are pure elegance. They are not temperamental, but rather calm, lonely and not very prone to getting into conflict. To protect themselves while they sleep, they usually hide among rocks and corals. In the face of threats, his strategy is to stand on his side and play dead. - Museum panel.
New Horizons
Uhu! Be careful with that one, that, where you see it, so calm, it is quite dangerous. The surgeonfish stands out for its beautiful blue and yellow tones ... And it does not have them by chance, but they are a trait shared with other fish that live among corals. What a color competition! His spine is sharp as a scalpel, so be careful if you have to catch one ... - Socrates.

Extra information
Paracanthurus hepatus, commonly called blue surgeonfish, is a reef fish belonging to the Acanthuridae family. It is the only member of the genus Paracanthurus. It has a laterally compressed body of indigo blue color and two black stripes, the upper one from the birth of the tail fin to the head, crossing the eye, and the lower one, approximately to the height of the pectoral fin, which often join leaving a blue circle in the middle.
It lives in different parts of the planet, although it is not common in any of them. It can be found on reefs in East Africa, Japan, Samoa, New Caledonia, and on the Great Barrier Reef. It prefers the terraces on the outer side of the reef, at depths between 10 and 40 meters. The larvae require a diet based on plankton for several months. Adults are omnivores and feed on plankton and mainly macroalgae.
Surgeons take a long time to reach sexual maturity, about two years. They also spawn in groups and, generally, during the afternoon and at night. When they do, they change color, to a light blue tone.
