The "tadpole" (tadpole in English) is one of the smallest fish and was introduced in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. The funny thing is that in principle the tadpoles are the baby frogs, and in Animal Crossing: New Leaf they appear as two different catchable fish. Also, no matter how long the tadpole passes, it will never mature into a frog.

Fishing
