La season 8 of Fortnite debuted last Thursday, under the slogan "the X marks the place", in clear allusion to the buried treasures of pirates. But this feature is not yet available in the game ... although there are already indications that point to its early arrival. If you have reached level 10 of the battle pass, you will have obtained your first treasure map in fortnite.

Treasure island map in Fortnite: does it hide any loot or special treasure?
Like the Discovery challenges, reaching level 10 of the paid battle pass will give you a new image for load times. The image in question is the one shown below ... which is accompanied by the text "Let the search begin!
If you look more closely, the image indicates a very specific area of the map, with the circumference of the magnifying glass. This is the area with the three statues to the southwest of Pico Polar. In case you don't feel well, we mark it on the map below ...
We have covered this area thoroughly, we have tried to pick at the statues and look for some kind of sign, but the truth is that at the moment, there is nothing in the area. It is still unreasonable that, as if it were a content update, "something" is activated shortly, such as an X on the ground, which allows access to the treasure if there is finally one, as the news within the own game.
Due to the leaks, it is known that objects such as a shovel will soon arrive, with which we can drill specific areas of the map to find buried treasures, and that this action includes some new graphics (such as the mountains of earth that we extract) and the sound of the shovel, which there have been shown by some "leakers". In any case, this particular map may lead nowhere, or we may update the content shortly revealing the mystery of this map.
