Trio is a special ability that only appears in Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. The Relentless Trio (a type of Trio) appears in various games such as Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts II. When traveling between worlds, every now and then Sora comes across a colored Trio mark (the colors will be explained later) made up of three hearts connected by a circle, causing the lower dashboard to switch to the "Trio ". Activating this command will allow Sora, Donald and Goofy (only them) to be able to perform a certain action, depending on the color of the mark. By using Trio Marks, the player can blaze new trails or obtain rare treasures. There are a total of five different Trio brand colors that Sora, Donald, and Goofy can learn to unlock through play.
As the three of them are the main characters and very close friends, the Trio command will only appear if Sora, Donald and Goofy are present in the team, if any other character, such as Aladdin or Ariel is in the group in their place, the command will not be will activate.
The Trio marks must be completed in order for Pepito's Journal to be at 100% and advance the story. Finding and activating all of them is not necessary to complete the game, nor to unlock the secret video.
Note: The only Trio brand that cannot be unlocked (if it is not unlocked before) is a red Trio in Oogie Boogie's Mansion, since after finishing Halloween City this Mansion disappears after defeating Oogie Boogie. This was corrected in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, as the mark is instead located underneath an archway near the estate.

Types of Trio Brands
Playing Trio
It is the first Trio learned in the game and it is the most common. This Trio is learned after defeating Armor in Paso City. The blue markings represent the ability to jump Sora, Donald, and Goofy as a trio, and bounce off the ground, shaking a loose treasure from somewhere above them, or access higher levels. Although this is the first brand that needs to be learned, activating Blue Trios is not necessary to complete the game.
Destroyer Trio
It is the second Trio to discover, after sealing the Deep Jungle Lock. At this mark, Sora, Donald, and Goofy will run into a wall or barrier and break it down, revealing a new path. This Trio is necessary at some points in the game to advance in the story, especially in Ciudad de Paso.
Acrobatic Trio
It is the third Trio to learn. The Green Trios are activated after Agrabah is completed. They represent the trio acrobatics, where Sora, Donald and Goofy climb on top of each other to get to something high. The Green Trio is required at one point in Neverland, and must also be used to access the secret Moguri Shop above Cid's Accessories Shop in Paso City, and thus activate material synthesis.
Strong Threesome
The fourth Trio to learn and the rarest of all, with only a total of four in the game. By activating the Yellow Trios, Sora, Donald, and Goofy are allowed to push a heavy object around them. In order to obtain this mark, Sora has to win the Fil Cup, the Pegasus Cup, and the Hercules Cup in the Olympus Coliseum, to immediately use it to reveal and seal the Colosseum Lock.
Detector Trio
It is the fifth and final Trio that Sora, Donald, Goofy can learn. It consists of raising your weapons up, summoning a treasure chest. It is learned after Riku is defeated for the first time in Hollow Hold. This Trio is not necessary to complete the game, but they are necessary for some useful things, especially to have the Keyblade of Wonderland and a Donald's Staff.
Relentless Threesome
Main article: Relentless Trio It is Trio's greatest ability, which is actually an attack, and consists of Sora creating an intricate Trio mark on the ground and activating it with his Keyblade. It consumes all of the team's MP, but deals enough damage to take out any lesser enemies within its area of effect, unless they are temporarily invulnerable, such as Shadows, Neoshadows, or Black Mushrooms.Trio Brand List
