    Unreal Engine 5 coming to Fortnite in season 9, according to a leak

      Epic Games continues to work on its spectacular graphic evolution, U, with a launch planned for 2022. Although many games and companies will make use of this new engine, it is obvious that the biggest beneficiary will be Fortnite, the Battle Royale of Epic Games.

      In the middle of season 7, many are wondering what novelties will arrive in season 8 to the popular PC, console and mobile game. A well known dataminer and leaker, Hypex, Has revealed an important novelty that will reach the title in 2022.



      This is the graphics engine transfer from Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5. According to Hypex, Epic Games will implement these technical improvements in 2022, when the future season 9, although this is not yet confirmed.

      Fortnite's moving to UE5 has been pushed to Season 9 instead of 8 for whatever reason..Also, MANY modding files & classes were added and modified today, and it looks like modding will be available for everyone but publishing mods will roll out for Creator Code owners first.

      As you can read in the tweet, Epic Games planned to implement Unreal Engine 5 in Fortnite in season 8, but apparently it is still too early. The Next-Gen Engine for Battle Royale will not arrive until 2022, still no date for the ninth season.

      The intentions of Epic Games go through release native versions of Fortnite in PS5 y Xbox Series X|S, making use of the Unreal Engine 5. Afterwards, it will port the versions of Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, Xbox One and mobile phones to this new graphics engine.

      The development of Unreal Engine 5 seems to have suffered a last minute setback, as Epic Games said at the time that planned this change for the middle of this 2021. Finally, this will not occur until the arrival of the season 9, which all points to the first quarter of 2022.

      Some Fortnite players are optimistic and believe that Unreal Engine 5 will arrive later this year, but it is quite unlikely. Epic games has yet to reveal the release date for season 8, and in fact season 7 still has a lot of fabric to cut.
