Watto's Shop

Watto's Shop (Watto's Store), was a special store of the old versions of Angry Birds Star Wars II, where the player could buy characters with coins, both from The Avian Republic, and from El Lado Gorrino. It was removed after the Rise of the Clones update on May 28, 2014.

Features

Characters

In the store, players could buy any of the game's characters with coins, either from El Lado Gorrino, or from The Avian Republic. Each character had a higher or lower cost of coins, depending on their utility and power within the levels. Characters could be purchased to be used a limited number of times within levels, or purchased as permanent characters.

Packages

In the Watto Shop, players could buy different packages and special offers, with different characters, each with different prices and contents.

Some characters in the game could be purchased with discounts in the Watto Store, in addition to some offers occasionally contained exclusive character packs.

Store removal

The Watto Store was removed from Angry Birds Star Wars II, along with the Rise of the Clones update, released on May 28, 2014, being replaced by a new style of store with the same functionalities. Where the player must choose the characters from El Lado Gorrino or La República Avian.

In the new update of the store, after clicking on the character, the player must select the amount they want to buy (10, 30, 100 or unlimited). The new store also featured other packages and special offers.

Curiosities

• In the shop, a body of a Probe Droid unit can be seen lying on the ground, as well as pieces of R2-D2 and C-3PO units can be seen.
• In the Star Wars saga, Watto was a junk dealer, who sold spaceship parts on the planet Tatooine, despite the fact that Watto does not have a physical appearance in the game. Also Anakin Skywalker worked as a slave in the store.
