Weekly Tournament

Weekly Tournament It is a special and non-sequential game mode within the Angry Birds Go! video game, being released on March 20, 2014, along with the update v1.3.0 of the same.

During the v1.0 versions, the Weekly Tournament game mode consisted of a tournament in which the player had to play on 5 tracks in different modes, which were changing weekly. The game mode was modified after the v2.0 update, where the tournaments were no longer weekly, changing every 5 hours.

Gameplay

v1.0

The Weekly Tournament tournaments consisted mainly of the player having to go through 5 different tracks, each track being located in its respective episode of origin. Being the five tracks of the game mode, Time Boom, Race, Champion Chase, Fruit Splat, and Slalom.

Similar to the game mode of Angry Birds Friends, Weekly Tournaments, the player can get a greater amount of points than his friends on Facebook, where at the end of each week, he will be able to see who won, if the player manages to be among the 3 best of his friends, he will receive a lucky box. In case the player is not connected to the game, or does not have friends who have played the tournament, the player will have to compete against Chuck and Red, who will have scores which the player must overcome.

v2.0

After the v2.0 update, tournaments were no longer weekly, and changed every 5 hours. In tournaments, the player must compete against other random players to accumulate a greater amount of points than their opponents. If the player completes the Star Race event, they get bonuses of x1.5 for Medium, or x2 for Hard, but if the player fails to complete the event, their score is halved for that race.

At the end of the event, tickets are awarded to the 20 players with the highest score, receiving 8 tickets in first place, 4 tickets in second and third place, from fourth to eighth place 2 tickets are received, and players in position 9 at the 20th they get a ticket.
