Wild Sentry is an Iconic Heartless found in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. It appears to be a relative of Primate X and Primate Y.

This is a special Heartless that only appears after sealing the Hollow Hold lock, and the only one that can drop the Strong Rock upon being defeated.

Kingdom Hearts Final Mix

More like a monkey than a heartless, it has a somewhat disconcerting demeanor. As soon as he sees Sora, he warns his colleagues of misdeeds and they all attack together launching projectiles.

Wild Sentry is an ape-like Heartless with predominantly magenta colored skin. Its skin is covered in white stripes, and the fur on its torso and hands is darker than the rest of the body. His face is black and his eyes are yellow and bright. She wears brown bangles and a gold necklace, two gold earrings, and a purple bow.

Wild Sentry carries a small slingshot as a weapon and his Heartless Emblem is emblazoned on his chest.

Strategy

A Wild Sentry appears in Pass City District 2 when Hollow Bastion's lock is sealed.

When he appears, he will start looking for Sora with his eyes, and will jump across the stage in search of him. When defeating it, two more will appear, and when these have been defeated, three will appear. If all three rounds of Sentry are beaten, the chances that they will drop a Strong Rock are increased, and they will almost certainly drop one or more Strong Rocks after the last round. After having beaten all three rounds, a new Wild Senator will appear, and the process will repeat itself up to six times.

However, if the Wild Sentry spots Sora, he will begin to dance and walk away to warn more Senders, who will appear all over the stage to attack, one after the other. The Senators will set their sights on Sora and begin firing their slingshots, cutting off all possible action with infallible projectiles that deal high damage. These projectiles cannot be dodged or blocked, and the only way to escape them is by leaving the area before the HP meter reaches 0. If the Wild Sentry detects Sora and calls out his fellow misdeeds, it will be useless. There is no use destroying them because not only will more appear, but they will not give platines, experience or objects.

The amount of experience points you earn depends on how many have been defeated in succession, and will be counted by multiples of ten. Thus, the first will award 10 experience points, the second will award 20, and so on.

The most common way to avoid being seen is to stay out of sight and use the Paro spell to stop the Wild Sentry, attack and flee before the effects wear off and the Heartless moves again, or you can wait alongside their spawn point and remove them quickly.

Etymology

The name "Wild Sentry" refers to his slingshot and his ability to hit enemies at great distances. "Wild" refers to his ape appearance and members of the same species, which appear in the Deep Jungle.
