Before becoming an evil genius, Jafar was the Sultan's royal vizier. The other time we were in Agrabah, he used the Heartless to take over the city. He managed to control Genius and asked to become a powerful genius himself. Aladdin, Sora and his friends teamed up to defeat him and locked him in his own lamp. "

Kingdom Hearts

Yafar is the third in command of Maleficent's army, his boss always warned him of the darkness he had, since he could turn against him, his world is the only one that has a princess, he uses the heartless to overthrow the Sultan and Dominate his world, Yasmín manages to escape and asks Aladdin and Sora for help, however Aladdin cannot fulfill the desire to save his beloved as Iago steals the lamp and disappears along with Yafar. Shortly after this he finds the Lock of the world thanks to the Genie, and confronts Sora turned into a giant Genie, he could have won them but was returned to his lamp and supposedly locked up forever. The story is similar in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, the only thing that changes is the final combat and the way Yafar uses his wishes: the first is to kidnap Yasmín, but the second is to hit Aladdin (not finding the Lock of the world).

Kingdom Hearts II

Yafar is accidentally released, he plans to set a trap for Sora and company by projecting reflections around the world, distracting them and then attacking the palace, he is defeated again by Sora, but this time he is not locked up but seems to die consumed by his own darkness.

Personality

Yafar appears to be a very calm man, posing as someone who adores tranquility and patience, this gains the confidence of the Sultan who proposes him as a possible heir and names him Vizier, a very important position for these lands. However, he is a ruthless wizard who just wants to become Sultan. He has no appreciation for anyone not even his faithful companion Iago, and in the film it is seen that his plan is to get rid of the Sultan, his daughter and their parrot when he assumes power. In Kingdom Hearts, on the other hand, it is seen that he feels appreciation for Yasmín and tries to make her fall in love with the help of the Genie, in the film he tries to do it but for fun.

Appearance

Yafar is a tall man, he wears an Egyptian-style costume, his wardrobe consists of red and black robes, adorned with gold and precious pearls as well as his turban, he carries with him a gold staff in the shape of a cobra, which in the film he can hypnotize people, and in the Kingdom Hearts saga he can generate mirages and control the Heartless. His skin is mixed race, and the most notable feature is his fine mustaches and beard giving an appearance of power and luxury to his face.

Jafar makes his debut in the film "Aladdin" as the sinister vizier of the Royal Sultan of Agrabah, who desires power over Agrabah and the beautiful daughter of the Sultan, Princess Yasmin. He is the second most powerful authority in Agrabah, answering only to the Sultan.
