El Yellow bird (possibly a canary) is a bird that first appears in Animal Crossing: City FolkLet's Go to the City. When there is a message on the Notice Board that you have not read, it will land on it and chirp to let you know. The Yellow Bird does not have an official name or gender, but neighbors of normal character sometimes mention it in their conversations to tell you about it. In Animal Crossing: New Leaf it also appears on the Notice Board (although a white owl will appear at night), but there will also be two or three more in the Commercial Zone. They can appear in front of the garden, the T&N, the Academy of Decorative Arts, near the pool next to the Museum and near the bench facing the sea.
