Zexion, The Veiled Conspirator (影 歩 む 策士), is Ienzo's Nobody, member number VI of Organization XIII and one of its founding members. He is one of the main antagonists in Riku's story in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories (the others being Riku's Replica and Ansem). Create illusions instead of fighting himself. Unlike the other members of the Organization, Zexion's weapon was originally unknown, and his abilities were only used outside of combat. In Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories, Zexion's weapon was revealed as a book named Lexicon. Zexion (not counting Roxas and Xion) is the youngest member of Organization XIII.

Zexión appeared in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories as a party involved in the fight generated within the Organization between the new members and the veterans. It is also central to the plot of using Riku as a puppet in Castle Oblivion. Zexion also makes an appearance in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, and as one of the playable characters in multiplayer.

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories

Number 6 within the organization. Generally avoid getting your hands dirty with anything. However the defeats of Vexen and Lexaeus forced Zexión into action.

Kingdom Hearts II

Former number VI of Organization XIII. Passed away. Zexion hated getting his hands dirty, so he used his wits to get rid of his rivals. I suppose it was not in his plans to be annihilated.

Appearance

He is one of the youngest members of the Organization alongside Roxas and Xion. He is short and has gray / silver hair, combed forward, covering his right eye. He wears the characteristic black robe of Organization XIII.

Personality

He is cold, apathetic, calculating, and mysterious. He has great intelligence, which has helped him to be together with Vexen one of the most intelligent members of Organization XIII. He hates laziness and seems to be very involved in the Organization's goals. Apparently, his rank in the Organization could have been higher in the beginning, as he was the closest member to Xemnas along with Saïx. He had a very good relationship with the superior, since Xemnas protected him and told him almost all his secrets. In addition, he was very loyal to him because he did not tell Xigbar anything when he inquired into Xemnas affairs.

Zexión repudiates violence to a great extent and despite the fact that he could be cruel and manipulative, he actually had a very benevolent spirit within the Organization's standards, being very disapproving of internal fights between members, since it seemed horrible to him that they eliminated each other. . Possibly, due to this fact, he was discarded as a container for Xehanort's heart within Xemnas' plans since his other qualities made him a more than suitable candidate for it.

Skills

He is not a great fighter but he is a great strategist so he is not an enemy to be taken lightly, he has even been singled out as the most powerful and difficult to defeat in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. His weapon is a book called "Lexicon". With it he can create illusions of himself to fight for him, copy enemy attacks or change his appearance. In Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days he has a limit attack (Meteor Mirage) in which he rises with his Lexicon and summons numerous spheres of darkness that fall against the enemy.

Zexion's weapon is a large book called "Lexicon", so named for its similarity to a dictionary. The cover shows the title Hallucination-Another Side, due to Zexión's supposed ability to trap his enemies in the pages of the book, although this attack is part of his illusion techniques. In 358/2 Days, the shape, appearance, and names of the Lexicons vary as if they were the protagonist's Keyblade keychains. The names of the Zexion Lexicons revolve around the books and the written conditions of the composition, with the addition of some kind of adjective or dark foreboding. His personal weapon is "Book of Retribution". Zexion can use his Lexicon, along with his power over the illusion to mimic his opponents' weapons to use against him, and he can attack melee by striking with his book. His prank weapons are "Death Diary" and "Night Aperitif".

Curiosities

• Zexion, Luxord and Demyx are the only members of the Organization who do not use weapons as such (Luxord uses cards, Demyx a sitar and Zexion a book).

• Another resemblance to Ienzo is that they have both been partners with Even and Vexen, respectively.
• The book it carries bears the words: "Ignes Fatui Another Side" which would be: "Fatuo Fire Another Way".
• He makes an appearance in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, in which he can be fought using his Intangible Essence, found in the Olympus Coliseum.
• Like Marluxia, when defeating him in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, his scream of defeat is equal to that of his death in Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories.
• Zexión seemed to be the member of the Organization that Xemnas trusted the most, as he told her all his secrets. However, shortly after his death, it is revealed that he was actually only using it and, following this, he put Saïx as second in command, something that, as seen in a 358/2 Days video, he had already planned with advance, as Xemnas expected that all the members sent to the Castle of Oblivion would die there, except for Axel, who was in charge of ensuring their death or executing them. The data that Zexion collected in his Lexicon along with the Vexen clone research served Xemnas to manufacture Xion.
