    Can the PS4 Fortnite account be used on Nintendo Switch?

    NO! As simple as that. It is not possible to use the same Epic Games account that you used on PS4 to play Fortnite Battle Royale on Nintendo Switch. If you've ever played Fortnite on PS4, you will no longer be able to use that account to track your progression and continue playing on the Nintendo console.     How to log in to Switch if the account is also connected to PS4

    If you have connected your Epic account from PS4 to Nintendo Switch as well, you will get an error message when trying to play on Switch that will prevent you from logging out or trying a different account. To solve it, you will have to go to the "Connected Accounts" section of your profile on the website of epic Games and unlink Nintendo Switch from your account. This will allow you to create a new account that is exclusive to Nintendo Switch.


    How to play on Switch with the same name you used on PS4

    As you may already be imagining, when you have to create a new Epic account to play Fortnite on Nintendo Switch, you will not be able to use the same name that you had in PS4 since this one will be caught. This does not necessarily mean that you cannot wear it, but it does mean that it cannot appear on two accounts at the same time.

    Therefore, the only solution that exists to play with the same name in Nintendo Switch is to change the one of PS4 (or the one of the other platform in which you played before). Log in to your old Epic Games account from the official website and change your name. Now, log out and start another with the Nintendo Switch account and put your old name in this profile.


    Keep in mind that if you later want to play again Fortnite Battle Royale On PS4 with your usual name, you will have to repeat the process but in reverse. Of course, Epic Games only allows you to change the username of the accounts every 15 days, so you will have to wait two weeks to return to your old name.
