Counterfeiting in Animal Crossing: New Leaf

HR counterfeits, imitations o fake pictures They are replicas of real paintings but reproduced without the consent of the author. This applies to paintings only obtainable via Ladino, who will always have one in the store's stock but it will not always be authentic. The only function of the paintings is to decorate your house or donate them to the museum, but Socrates will not accept your donation.

The paintings are obtained from the Ladino shop, and it will be randomly a fake or not. They are practically impossible to discover if it is a real one until you try to give it to Socrates, who with his experience will tell you, or you try to sell it to Nook, who for said falsification will only give you 10 berries.

How to tell if a painting is fake

    • In Animal Crossing: Wild World, sometimes, Ladino will sell paintings whose name, image or all of it does not correspond to the real one. It could also be that it is false but that its name and image are the same as the authentic one, and in that case you can only find out by talking to neighbors in the town or people in the city, who on some occasions could comment that Ladino has ripped them off again. . Even so, it could be that the painting is false and that nobody says anything anyway.
    • In Animal Crossing: New Leaf there are small differences between the real picture and the game picture if it is fake. You can help yourself with the official Nintendo guide.
