In this tutorial, in fact, I will explain to you how to change name on Fortnite Nintendo Switch showing you all the roads at your disposal. By following the steps below, you will be able to change your nickname in Fortnite for Switch and other players will be able to see you with the new chosen name, which will be linked to your Epic Games account. All, of course, without losing game progress.

Prima di enter the live of the tutorial and spiegarti how to change name in Fortnite for Nintendo Switch, it is important that you explain the mechanism linked to the change of username in the famous title of Epic Games.
The first point to clarify concerns the difference between the Nintendo nickname and that epic Games used in Fortnite: the Nintendo one appears above your character when you log into the game but, be careful, it is not what other players see when you are online. The "real" name on Fortnite is the one linked to your Epic Games account and, unfortunately, it is not possible to change it directly from Nintendo Switch.
This, however, does not mean that it is possible to change the name in the edition of Fortnite destined for the hybrid console of Nintendo: simply, to do so, you have to proceed from a computer, smartphone or tablet by going to change the Epic Games account. (in case, remote, that you don't have one yet, you can find out how to create it in this guide of mine)
One last warning I must give you, before explaining in detail how to proceed, is to carefully choose your new nickname, because once changed you will have to wait at least two weeks before you can make new changes to it. All clear? Well, then get ready to proceed!
How to change your name on Fortnite for Switch
To get a new name in Fortnite for Switch, as just mentioned, you need to act on yours Epic Games profile: just change your nickname directly on the Epic official website to have the new name available with immediate effect. Here is all explained in detail below.
From computer
If you have decided to change your Fortnite nickname using a PC or Mac, proceed by connecting to the official Fortnite site using your favorite browser.
Once the home page of the site is displayed, you will see the button in the menu bar at the top Log in: proceed by clicking on it, so that the message appears with the writing Do you already play Fortnite?. Then answer this question with the key No (I suggest you do it even if you already play Fortnite, in order to speed up the procedure).
Now you can see the page Create account and the button Log in, on the right: proceed by clicking on the latter and enter theemail address that you used to register on the Epic site, with the relative Password. When you have filled in both fields, click on the button Log in. I take this opportunity to point out that you can also check the white square next to the writing Remember, to always remain logged in to the site even after closing it.
Well done! You've just logged into the official Fortnite site and the name change is now just a handful of clicks away. To make sure you are logged in successfully, look at the top right corner: instead of the button Log in you should see your current nickname.
To proceed, then move the cursor to yours current nickname and scroll the menu that appears, then press the button Account. The new page you see shows as the first entry General Settings; soon after, however, you find Personal details: you can change your name on Fortnite right under this heading, writing the new name you want to use under the writing Visualized name.
Once this is done, make the changes effective by scrolling to the bottom of the page and clicking on the blue button Save Changes.
It's done! You have changed your name on Fortnite and the effect of this change will also be visible when you play on Nintendo Switch in multiplayer online matches.
I remind you that you will not be able to change your name again if at least it has not elapsed before two weeks since last change: choose wisely!
From smartphones and tablets
You are wondering if you can change your name on Fortnite without using your PC or Mac, but from your own smartphone or from yours tablets? Quiet, of course yes, and it is also very simple.
The first step you need to take is to open the browser you use to browse online on your smartphone or tablet (eg. Chrome your android e Safari on iOS) and connect to the official Fortnite website. Once this is done, you will have to press onmenu icon (the three horizontal lines on a yellow background) located at the top of the screen.
Among the options that will open, you will have to tap on the button Log in and then answer with the key No to the question You already play Fortnite (I suggest you choose this option even if you actually already play Fortnite, in order to speed up the procedure).
In the new screen that appears, scroll down and tap the button Log in, to open the form in which to insert username e Password. When the operation is completed, press the button Log in and if all the data was correct you will be redirected to the main page. You can now press the key with le again three horizontal lines and then tap on the button that says your current one nickname.
The last step to change the name is very simple: in the new open page, move to the item Visualized name to tap the white box with your name and enter the new one. When you are done with the entry, scroll down and press the blue button Save Changes.
Good job! Your new name in Fortnite will be displayed during online games on Switch, but remember that to change it again you will have to wait at least two weeks of time.
In case of dubbi or problem
In the unfortunate event that you are having trouble with your Epic Games account, don't worry - the service center developer can help you in several ways.
You can take advantage of this service from the comfort of your home, by connecting to the official Epic Games support page and typing, in the top bar, "change name".
The result of the research will be a proposed solution: if this should be unsatisfactory, you can request the direct support of a operator, by clicking on the button CONTACT US, top right, and entering the requested data: Language, Name (it's not mandatory), E-mail address and Platform (the platform you use in this case is Nintendo Switch).
Next, click on the drop-down menu Select and choose Epic Games Account Update. Before clicking on the purple button Send, go to the box Security text and write the text that appears in the next image (if you don't read it well, click on the red circular arrow and the image will be updated with a different one).
