Jack Skeletonthe Jack skellington in English, he is a main character known as "The Pumpkin King" or "The King of Darkness" from Halloween City. At the beginning of the movie "The Nightmare Before Christmas", Jack wears a costume based on a scarecrow with a pumpkin for a head, but normally he wears a black suit with thin white lines and a bat-like bow tie.

Jack's pet is Zero, his ghost dog. Sally, because of his curious personality, falls in love with Jack and tries to make him see reason by giving him to understand that he cannot be the king of Christmas but the one of Halloween.

Oogie Boogie is his arch enemy, who for having been banished to the outskirts of the city is furious with Jack, although he is somewhat afraid of him, which is a clear example of how terrifying Jack can be when he proposes it, being one of the few residents of Halloween Town capable of scaring off other monsters.

Personality

Jack is a vivacious and charismatic gentleman, a curious contrast when considering his position as the king of Halloween. He loves theatrical shows, musicals, and spectacular tickets, and that's part of what makes him the way he is. You are always looking to make new friends, but you generally assume (sometimes incorrectly) that others want to be your friends too. Despite having a good heart, Jack sometimes withdraws from his surroundings too much, so he fails to realize Sally's feelings or Santa Claus's displeasure. You have a tendency to get stuck in one idea to the exclusion of any other opinion.

If he is forced to fight or if he gets angry, Jack is very elegant and solemn. He only appeals to violence if he is attacked first, unlike Oogie Boogie, his enemy in the movie and in the games. Jack rarely uses his terrible powers to his own advantage.

History

Kingdom Hearts

In this game, we meet Jack for the first time in the entire series. Sora and his friends realize that he was manipulating the Heartless, fearing that he was evil. Following Oogie Boogie's plan to steal the professor's heart, Sora decides to help him stop Oogie Boogie by going to his Halloween Town mansion. When they manage to defeat him, Sora leaves with a promise that one day they would return.

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories

In this game, Jack does not manipulate Heartless, but instead directly causes them to attack us, causing mistrust in Sora. Jack is our ally, we have to find Sally to retrieve the Forget-me-not potion. When we defeat Oogie Boogie, after drinking this potion, Sora decides to leave Halloween City with his new friend Jack.

Kingdom Hearts 358 / 2 Days

In this game, Jack looks for new ideas for the new Halloween. Roxas often sees him speak just thinking of new ideas, although he tends to interact more with Zero.

In the end, Jack makes a Roxas doll to keep alive the honor of the unknown hero who liberated the city from the giant Heartless.
