    Mini PEKKA

Mini PEKKA is a special rarity card from Clash Royale that can be obtained from the training arena.

    Strategy

    • It can be used with high HP troops such as the Giant so that the Giant charges all the damage while the Mini PEKKA deals massive damage.
    • It can defeat Musketeers, Mages, Electric Mages, Ice Mages, Mother Witches, and Barbarians of the same level in one hit for a similar elixir cost, making it useful for quickly taking out these troops behind a tank.
    • Most of the ground units, even Skeletons, placed at a distance are able to eliminate it with the help of the Tower of Crowns.
    • Area damage units and spells complement her well, as her slow impact speed is ineffective against swarms. Slower area damage units like Vaquiria should be placed in front of her so she can push them forward more quickly, while faster area damage units like Fire Spirits should be placed behind her so she can protect them.
    • Due to the many positive Elixir swaps that can be made on a Mini PEKKA, it is generally not effective to send one down the lane on its own, as this usually results in a loss of four Elixirs. However, if the opponent is low on Elixir or lacks a cheap defensive card, then this strategy is capable of causing greater damage to the opponent's tower or may force a bad trade.
    • Defensively, it can be used to easily annihilate a wide variety of enemy troops (eg Giant and Musketeer) due to its high damage for the relatively low cost of 4 Elixir. With the help of a Tower of Crowns, a Mini PEKKA placed near the center of the map can stop elite Barbarians for a positive Elixir exchange. It's a great counterattack for Hog Rider, allowing at most one hit to the tower. If the player has an idea of when and where the opponent will send their Hog Rider, they can place their Mini PEKKA in the middle of their path and deploy it the instant the opponent places the Hog Rider. Doing this will turn it off completely. If the Hog Rider is accompanied by fast ground units like Skeletons, the Mini PEKKA can target them again, disrupting the player's defense. Using a spell to quickly destroy the Skeletons for the Mini PEKKA to help defeat the Hog Rider, even if it is a negative Elixir trade, as the Hog Rider will deal much more damage for just a small Elixir buff otherwise.
    • A quick and deadly combo is Miner + Mini PEKKA The Miner stacks all the damage while the Mini PEKKA deals the damage. This can easily take a tower. However, it can be fully countered with a Skeleton Army if the Skeleton Army is played early enough (i.e. a part of the Skeleton Army goes for the Miner while the other Skeletons distract the Mini PEKKA).
    • Many players tend to use small units against the Mini PEKKA. the player can use this habit to her advantage by assisting her with an area damage spell or an area damage troop, such as Fire Spirits or Princess.

    History

The information in this section has been obtained from Clash Royale weba page, the Clash Royale community in English.
    • January 4, 2016: The Mini PEKKA was released at the general launch of Clash Royale.
    • February 9, 2016: Chest balance and rewards update increased Mini PEKKA hit points by 3%.
    • May 3 from 2016: A balance change allowed it to be affected by the pullback. The sound effect of the Mini PEKKA when it was deployed was also modified. The sound effect now sounds like "Pancakes", and a tweet from the official Clash Royale Twitter account hinted that that was the correct interpretation. I had a real life Mini PEKKA. standing next to a giant skeleton, with the caption "Who wants pancakes?"
    • August 11, 2017: A balance change increased its damage by 4.6%.
    • January 24, 2018: A balance change increased his hit points by 7%.
    • 1 July of 2019: An update to the 'Rule Book' increased its range from 1.05 to 1.2 (now classified as Melee: Medium).
    • May 5 2020: A balance change reduced his range from Melee: Medium to Melee: Short (1.2 cells -> 0.8 cells).
    • November 3 from 2020: A change of balance reduced his attack speed from 1,8 to 1,7 seconds, and his first attack speed from 0.5 to 0.4 seconds.

    Curiosities

    • Its description is a reference to Clash of Clans PEKKA commercial.
    • Although your description says that the sand is a butterfly-free zone, a butterfly can be seen flying in the training ground image (tutorial).
    • It is one of the three troops that are "miniature" versions of another troop in Clash of Clans (Mini PEKKA - PEKKA, Baby Dragon - Dragon and Electro Dragon (Clash Royale) - Electro Dragon (Clash of Clans).
    • Compared to the regular PEKKA, the Mini PEKKA has lower health, moves faster, and is significantly cheaper, but its damage per hit and damage per second are similar. In appearance only, he has a different color scheme in his image and he also only has one eye.
    • A reference to Mini PEKKA's deployment sound from "Pancakes" can be found in the Crown Duel tournament trailer, and in an Emote trailer depicting it.
    • The Mini PEKKA's damage per hit is exactly the same as the health of an equivalent level mage or musketeer.
    • The Mini PEKKA is the theme of five gestures.
    • The Mini PEKKA's attack makes a loud sound if said attack does not defeat the unit that is being hit (such as Golem).
