    Robux

    Robux

    Current symbol of the Robux.

    Robux

ROBUX visualized as a physical currency, as seen on the Xbox One platform.

Each filtering bag Robux (in singular, crumbled, abbreviated as R$) is the only universal currency within Roblox. The robux were introduced on May 14, 2007 as a replacement for the Roblox points. Robux were one of two currencies on the platform along with tickets, which were removed on April 14, 2016.

Roblox are known as the main Roblox currency by the community; all paid items within the avatar store are sold by robux, including user-created content such as microtransactions and game passes. The term 'robux' is an acronym for Roblox and bucks.

On November 21, 2019, the "robux" icon was replaced from the "R $" symbol to a more generic honeycomb shape and was gold instead of green. Now, Roblox advises against using the R $ abbreviation after icon replacement.

    Summary

    Obtaining

It can be purchased with real money, it is the most preferable option to get them. Another way to get Robux is by purchasing a Premium membership.

    Premium

Players, when purchasing the Premium membership, receive a certain amount of Robux per month. This amount varies depending on the plan that the user chooses.

Roblox has launched the ability to purchase ROBUX through the website, introduced on September 26, 2008. Additionally, the ability to purchase Robux through the ROBLOX Mobile app has been released on December 11, 2012.

    Premium Payments

Users who have a subscription to Roblox Premium can earn "Premium Payments" from other Premium uses that play their game. The amount given depends on how many people are playing.

    Sales

All users can sell shirts, scripts and game passes for a 70% profit after deducting market fees. Premium users can also create and sell shirts and pants, as well as list their limited items and accessories for sale.

    Groups

A group can sell virtual items in the Avatar Store as an individual user. However, all Robux earned are deposited into "Group Funds" which can then be distributed among members. Group funds can also be used and distributed by other members, provided they have administrator permissions.

    Exchange

Robux can be listed on an exchange, however the market fee still applies.

    Old methods

Prior to the launch of the Tix and Builders Club, all users earned 5 Robux daily as a login reward and 1 Robuk per site visit. Before mid-August 2019, players who purchased Builders Club, Turbo Builders Club, or Outrageous Builders Club received a daily bonus from Robux:

    • Builders Club (BC) members earned 15 (5 before the end of 2016) Robux per day.
    • Turbo Builders Club (TBC) members earned 35 Robux per day.
    • Members of the Outrageous Builders Club (OBC) earned 60 Robux per day.

    Scams

    Main article: Bots

These bots are programmed by an individual or group seeking access to the account to obtain personal information such as passwords or to take items from the account such as Robux or Limited. They are most often found in the game and item comment sections. Usually they will say things like "CORRECT, I received 25k Robux INSTANTLY from (scam site.suffix) and no info needed".

Some, however, may use the "/ me" command after joining a game, allowing a username to go blank in chat and stand out, having only the name and no special characters ("USERNAME - Message- "instead of" [USERNAME]: -Message- "), for example:" / I just received TONS of ROBUX! Visit (scamsite.) To generate FREE ROBUX instantly ", where" / me "is becomes the username. However, the / me command has been removed due to spambots, bots now just write them without the / me command. Those who join the games are generally seen as the default "Bacon Hair" style avatar or unused clothing from the avatar store. If you see that the player tab has players like "ROBLOX" or another administrator, they are fake and are there to trick you into thinking that the game is legitimate and is being used or visited by a Roblox employee.

Due to this, the / me command was disabled by default in all Roblox games on May 17, 2019.

    Curiosities

    • R $ "was often used as an abbreviation for Robux, but Roblox advised against using this abbreviation after the new Robux icon was released.
      • This abbreviation was probably discouraged because one real currency, the Brazilian real, has the same abbreviation.
    • On April 12, 2007, the first-place paintball tournament winning team at Ultimate Paintball got Builders Club and Robux for free.
    • This coin has often been criticized for being difficult to obtain without paying real money, following the removal of the Tix.
