    The Airship


    The Airship, often abbreviated as Airship, is the fourth map in Among Us, based on the Airship from Henry Stickmin's game Infiltrating the Airship. The Airship is the largest map in Among Us, it includes more tasks, has nine new locations, and has a total of seventeen. Several Henry Stickmin related cosmetics and references were added with the new map.

    Development and launch

    The first teaser for the new map revealed in the first post on the Among Us Twitter account.



    The development of The Airship was officially confirmed by Innersloth on September 23, 2020, as part of the new content to be added to Among Us after the cancellation of its sequel, Among Us 2. Innersloth in its developer registration, stated that it will be free for all players. On November 18, 2020, Cabina was revealed in the first post on Among Us's official Twitter account with an unknown name. Two characters are introduced, resembling an employee of the Chaos Containment Center and Right Hand Man Reborn, respectively.


    In an interview with Innersloth, when asked if he had made any plans for the new map, Marcus Bromander replied, "Oh yeah! I have four rooms drawn and the layout [of the map] is kind of a sketch." Game Awards 2020 on December 10, 2020, The Airship announcement trailer was shown. This announcement was officially confirmed by Geoff Keighley on his Twitter account on December 2, 2020. [6] It reveals the names of several locations, including the cockpit, observation deck, medic, breach room, room of meetings, the main hall, armory and showers, and shows new tasks.

    On March 18, 2021, Innersloth announced that The Airship would launch on the 31st of the month.

    On March 31, 2021, Innersloth announced that The Airship would launch at 6:00 PM UTC that day.

    The map was released on the same day (March 31, 2021) with another tweet from the official Twitter account stating that the map had already been released, free for all devices.

    Locations

    Electricity

    Electricity was confirmed to be on The Airship by Marcus Bromander on November 6, 2020 on his Twitter account, saying that it "could be scarier than Skeld."

    Cabin

    Cockpit was revealed in the first post on the Among Us Twitter account, based on the cockpit of the airship from Infiltrating the Airship. Contains a conduit in the center left of the room. It also houses the Admin table.

    Camera

    Chamber is a circular room containing Ruby Polish's large ruby, a mound of gold, a gold pistol, and several mannequins with clothing.

    Cabins

    Cabins is a long room that leads to the Chamber, Pit Room, and Engine Room. It is one of the rooms where you can start after a meeting.

    Security

    Security is a small room with three doors leading to the Portrait Room, a small balcony, and Power, as well as the Security skill.

    Nursing

    Infirmary is a large room that contains two sections, the first leading to the Cargo Warehouse and the second to Electricity. There is a Vitals monitor in the second section.

    Meeting Room

    Meeting Room is the place where all emergency meetings take place and has three room divisions. The first division has a staircase that leads to the Pit Room and contains the Empty Trash Can task. The second section has the meeting table and the third section has the Enter ID task.

    Moat room

    Pit room contains a ladder, as well as a platform, which can be used to cross the large gap from the room. It also contains the keyboards used to solve Avoid Collision Path.

    Machine room

    Engine room is a large, elongated room with entrances to the left, top, and right. It is one of the rooms where players can start after an emergency meeting.

    Archive

    Archive is a large circular room, consisting of four shelves, a table and two brown chairs. It is one of the rooms where players can start after an emergency meeting.

    Main room

    Main Room is one of the rooms that players can start in after an emergency meeting. It is a long corridor with three entrances and a total of six rooms.

      • Empty Trash (Second Upper Room)
      • Accept diverted energy (lower first quarter)

    Kitchen

    Kitchen is a location that contains a conduit. It is one of the rooms in which the player can start after an emergency meeting.

    Showers

    Showers is a medium sized room with the shower area cornered at one end.

    • Chores:
      • Accept deflected energy (center)
      • Fix showers (indoor shower)

    Observation area

    Observation Zone is a small room with a panel to solve Repair Lights. Drive to Exterior.

    Living Room

    Living room is a two part room with the part near the records containing the pool tables and the other part containing the restrooms.

    Arsenal

    Armory is a V-shaped room with two small corners.

    Cargo hold

    The cargo bay is a fairly large room that begins in the living room and ends in the Infirmary. It has a safe at one end. It is one of the rooms in which a player can start after an emergency meeting.

    Ventilation

    Vent has a gap, as does Pit Room, but the gap is higher.
