Roblox Player

Roblox Player it is an essential part of Roblox. It is the client and a form of access to play Roblox games on the platform. The client GUI has seen multiple changes in the last decade.

Player 2006-2008

From 2006 to 2008 the client was very simple and had a game editing tool built into the client, which is now known as Roblox Studio. Very few aspects of the original client currently remain in the current client GUI (such as the "reload" cursor - this will be adjusted later in the future).

Player 2009

In 2009, the GUI within the client received an overhaul. This review focused more on simplicity in borders and chat bubbles, as well as adding NPCs in games that had their own separate chat GUI. The ability to take a snapshot from the client was also implemented.

Player 2011

The ability to record within the client was added in 2011. The player roster also underwent a change for the first time. Builders Club badges were now visible in the Player List. The backpack was also checked.

Player 2015-present

This was the last revision of the GUI in 2015. This revised the entire appearance of the client such as the chat window, the player list and the Hotbar / Backpack GUI.

Curiosities
